My Design Career

Walks on the growth road, art, design, and creative are so important to me. Since I was a little girl, drawing was always my big hobbit. Although, I am not good at drawing and do not have any technique about it, but these are not the problem can stop me falling love in to drawing. In high school, I studied Visual Art. After 2 years study, I learnt what is art, and what is beauty. For me, a work of art is the story full of emotion in the deepest place of heart. That way I never lost my passion to draw. Maybe I will be asked that drawing and design are two different things so why you study industrial design and become a designer? In my mind, drawing and design are inseparable. A good piece of artwork needs follow each elements of design and also a good design is developed from drawings. Different from drawing, design is much more fun without painting brushes and pieces of paper, that a wider way for me to explain myself. And industrial design is a subject that full of challenges and it covers our life. Thought this subject I can learn how to design a pleasure product that convenient for us. I would like to see people smile when they are using my products. This must be my motivation to study industrial design.

As an oversea student, I decided to study in Australia is because of its excellent geographical environment. And I chose UNSW as my university is for its high qualities of teaching and excellent facilities. More importantly industrial design in UNSW is comprised research, design and production of the entire range of consumer and capital products. And student can learn core design skills such as sketching and technical drawing, rendering, computer model making, concept generation and presentation as well as safe workshop practices.

For my future in design, I would like to travel around the world, visit famous museums, exhibitions and also some factories such as glasses factories etc. Because visiting different places is a good chance to know different cultures this may help me to design good products. And also from visiting exhibitions, I may have a chance to talk to many designers from various fields; from vising factories, I may learnt the processes of making a product.  On the other hand when I am traveling around the world many stories will be happened, these may be the important inspirations for designing. Additionally, during I am traveling I may start writing a blog all about my miracle design journey for recording my life. Then after my journey, I would like to join and work for a design team, because travel around just a way to improve myself, but working is another important way to become a good designer directly.
