Project 1 - Rationale

As what it is named, this cleaning brush was designed to be never-fall with its heavy bottom and it is used for cleaning tall glasses. This brush is completely different with the normal oblate cylinder shape cleaning brush.

For the brush part, its ergonomic optimal round shape handle is much more comfortable for users to hold it in hand for long time and do the cleaning action. And then for the upper part of the brush, it is long thin curly cylinder and the little oval head with bristles. This brush is angled perfectly for scrubbing dirt on the glasses and easier cleaning the corners with its 360-degree bristles. In addition, the brush handle will be made from plastic and upper part of the curly cylinder is designed to use rubber, which has a non-slip surface. The rubber part will help to change the angel to fit and clean different corners.

Additionally, the never-fall bottom will help the brush bristles stay off of dirty surfaces. Between the funs, wobbly action and the fact, this bottom full of functional, naughty, humor, and pleasure. After using the brush to clean glasses then put it back onto the never-fall bottom, the wobbly action will be a different way let users relax. This bottom is an almost half sphere and with a little pillar on it, it is hallow inside and filled with heavy material. For doing the model, I used air-dry clay and screw to weight it. This idea is from the Dews Toothbrush, which was deigned by Hyun Jin Yoon and Eun Hak Lee. What I thought is that we clean the kitchen wares for healthy. Therefore, the cleaning supplies should be clean as well. However, most brushes were designed without holder. That is why I designed this roly-poly cleaning brush.

Furthermore, the colors of my product will be in different pairs, such as white brush and yellow bottom, light baby blue and orange bottom. Because white and light baby blue show tidy and clean, yellow and orange are the warm color and full of funny, humor such as the roly-poly idea.
