Greenfly Product Life-Cycle - Breville Food Processer

For this activity we chose Breville® Kitchen Wizz Quad as our reporting model. At the beginning, we tried to break the machine into different parts, which are classified by materials. We weighted each parts and marked down what materials they are made from, for some parts we are not sure about their materials we cut down small slices from them and burned. At the same time while we were doing these, data was input to Greenfly. After defined materials and processes, then figured out how is this product transported to market, how is this product used, and selected End of Lift destinations, our product report was done.
According to the report, the usage of this product has the biggest environment impact, which is Global Warming (92.59%). From manufacturing process water usage is 66.56%; general usage consume largest energy (86.28%); manufacturing process wastes biggest part of solid, which is 86.99%.
From the report show that different material selections will change product End Of Life. Such as the most parts of our product are made from ABS, which can be recycled, but another material of our product, SAN, which just can be landfilled.
